This is Agentic Slop: agents generate plausible work faster than the organization can test, own, reject, or delete it. The backlog looks like momentum. In reality, it is inventory piling up before a boundary of consequence.
The models are not the problem. The measurement is. Drafts, analyses, tickets, campaigns, and code are counted as throughput before they change a customer outcome, a production system, or a real decision.
Cap agency work in process. Require current doctrine, a named owner, kill criteria, and reality feedback before increasing generation.
Otherwise the company becomes a warehouse for plausible artifacts—and its best operators become full-time janitors.
