A Crossing should not close at recognition. It closes when the verdict is encoded into doctrine and propagated to every affected human and machine workflow.
Do not run this move when junior people cannot safely contradict senior people. Lower the stakes and build trust first.
Closing checklist:
- Record the verdict, owner, effective date, and what evidence would reverse it.
- Update doctrine, prompts, permissions, evaluations, dashboards, and decision rules.
- Identify every affected person, agent, workflow, and external commitment; confirm receipt.
- Delete the rejected premise and test execution at the boundary where reality answers.
If the old premise can still execute on Monday, the Crossing is still open.
