If the room does not know what mode it is in, truth becomes a status gamble.
The move is simple: name the mode. Say whether you are in Run Time or Ritual Time. In Run Time, critique serves execution. In Ritual Time, output pressure pauses long enough to question assumptions and say what would otherwise stay underground.
That declaration does more than set tone. It creates common knowledge. Everyone knows what kind of truth the room can bear, and everyone knows that everyone else knows it. The start and stop flags matter because they tell people whether disagreement is useful, dangerous, or required.
Most organizations are full of private recognition and public silence. People know the doctrine is stale, the workflow is broken, the story is false, so they route around it in side channels. If you want candor, do not ask for bravery first. Name the mode first.
